Reflective surfaces have been trending big-time -- and I am really digging metallic/mylar wall coverings. What do you think of reflective wallpaper? I love it, but just not for my house (how's that for courage!)... Anyway, if you are thinking of using it, I would advise putting up a liner underneath both to hide any imperfections in the wall and to make it dry strippable so that it can be removed and replaced when you grow tired of it.
