Celery Kemble's New Wallcovering line by Schumacher

"In life as in design, it is not perfection you should be after.  There's beauty in the faded and worn, the well loved, and the sentimental...After all, life has seams. Your home should be like a loosely woven fabric of desires, memories, practical, notions, and even compromises."  - Celerie Kemble

Celerie Kemble is a woman after my own heart -- an enterprising woman who loves what she does.  A graduate of Harvard, Celerie worked briefly in film production before quickly succumbing to what she calls a compulsion for design (I can relate to that) and the creation of thoughtful interiors that “put the person in the place.” She was brought up in Palm Beach and her interiors exemplify that chic wasp design sensibility.  Celery has just come out with a fabulous wallcovering collection from Schumacher which you can see here.

Cool Rugs from Celery Kemble

I know I have not been blogging as much as I would like, but it is crazy busy here this month with work, school and the kids...    I do have some things I would love to share, though, first off -- have you seen Celery Kemble's rug designs for Merida?  Smashing flat weave wool rugs some with a really low profile.  I am suggesting the top one for a friend/client...Rake in pulp -- has a subtle silver gray hue in person.
