2012 Hampton Showhouse Designer: Tara Seawright

I am really grooving on New York interior designer Tara Seawright who was recently named by New York Sapces as one of the "Top 50 Names You Need to Know in New York Design."   I love her use of color and bold patterns the way she mixes contemporary and antique pieces (I also love the frenchie in the pictures below).   Her firm Tara Seawright inc./ interior design focuses on residential design and is based in NYC.  Ms. Seawright is a native  New Yorker has a degree in Art History from Marymount Manhattan College, worked at Christy's and then at two Manhattan art galleries.  To see more of her portfolio, click here.

2012 Hampton Showhouse Designer Robert Passel

I awoke this morning not expecting to have a new design crush. I was not familiar with Robert Passal work until I googled him for this post, and wow -- I love his style.  How could I not have stumbled upon him sooner?  He has been in House & Garden, was in Kips Bay Decorators Show House and was named named one of the 20 New Traditional Designers by Trad Home (the digital version of Traditional Home magazine).

He is incredibly talented, his room are layered; modern yet classic  and oh so chic. He began his career working for antiques dealer John Rosselli and then was a designer with Healing Barsanti before he launched his own firm Robert Passal Interior and Architectural Design located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.

You can check out his website here. Thanks to the  Zhush and  Better Decorating Bible and -- for the lovely photos.

FAB room.  I love that white chair in the righthand corner -- anyone know who makes this or if it is antique?

2012 Hampton Showhouse Desinger: Mabley and Handler

The husband and wife team of Mabley and Handler is based in the Watermill and includes designer Jennifer Mabley  and graphic designer Austin Handler.  The pair is extremely popular on the east end and embodies the laid back (and sometimes preppy) aesthetic of the Hamptons.

Jennifer Mabley, originally from Washington, D.C., has worked in the field of interior design for over 15 years. Her design projects range from high-end Manhattan apartments to estate homes and cottages in the Hamptons. She has previously designed her own furniture line, and has owned and operated furniture, fabric and drapery stores in New York City and Greenwich, Connecticut.

Austin Handler, born in London, England, was a graphic designer at a major New York City advertising agency when he met Ms. Mabley. Aside from his work in graphic design and photography, Mr. Handler always had an interest in architecture and interior design.

I enjoyed looking over their website portfolio which you can check out here.
